Sombrio Beach

June 29, 2009

Kevin and I headed out to Sombrio beach yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather here in BC. We hiked along the Juan De Fuca trail, which went up and down and thru the mud A LOT! We eached slipped and fell once, but with no major injuries it was a great day. A few photos from the trip.

Hello All,

I know it has been forever! since I wrote, but I have been a tiny bit busy. School finished up, though, so now I have LOTS more time. And I am looking for a job, so if you know of anyone who is looking for a photographer, send them my way.

Attending the Western Academy of Photography was, in the end, a smart move. I feel equipped to take on (almost) any photo assignment and I am looking forward to doing something I love for the rest of my life. I am very happy with my portfolio from school and was shocked that I won three awards for it, as follows:

The opening image in my printed portfolio. Awarded, Best Color Photo

As well as graduating I attended another milestone event for my dear friend Chris. He got married! And what a lovely wedding it was (my favorite part was that Tiffany got married barefoot. Truly a woman for Chris!)

Chris and I met somewhere around the age of two. Shortly after meeting Chris infected me with the chicken pox (my parent’s were in on that one, so I guess I can’t blame him entirely). We reunited after a long hiatus in High School and have been close ever since. I think it is appropriate that he married a Holland, as well (his wife and I share our last names)! I wish them both much happiness and love
