July 13, 2010Well it took a long while for summer to arrive in Victoria, but it has made it! I have been swimming in Thetis (once even with some dogs in life jackets) and I’ve been enjoying the sun. Enough talk about Juneuary and grey days! The sun is shining and I am happy. Happy! So, I thought I would do a Tasty Tuesday post; I dug through my archives and found a photo that expresses my sentiments exactly:

Dog Days
June 30, 2010I love dogs! Growing up I had three different dogs: Piper, Tuck and Molly. All good dogs that I loved and adored. Now I am keeping my fingers very tightly crossed that in 6 weeks I will have my very own little bundle of energy and joy. Kevin and I are getting a Frenchbo (Boston Terrier / French Bulldog mix) and a litter was born on Father’s Day and we are hoping to get one of em! Until then I have to entertain myself with my friends and family’s dogs, so when Carolyne invited me to come meet her Mini Schnauzer puppy, Finn, I jumped up and down squealing with joy, then got in the car and drove to Duncan. So meet Finn:

Finn is a bit of a coward, but that may be because he was only with Carolyne for three days when I met him. 
And Finn loves to chew. On everything.
Puppy dogs move REALLY fast and can be hard to get in focus, looking cute and in the general direction of the camera. But they are still super duper cute, especially Finn.
An Inquisitive Mind
April 24, 2010I went up island, today, to visit a friend of mine. Her grandson was staying over and I had brought along my camera, so I took some photos for Carolyne. Her grandson is a doll, and had a lot of fun looking for “treasure” on the beach, playing on the swing and just running around. Kids imaginations and inquisitive minds will never cease to amaze me.
Little shoes are always cute, too bad they never fit.
