FAQ Weddings

I get asked a lot of questions, so I hope this information is helpful to potential, existing and future clients.

Wedding Coverage starts at $2750.

Q: I keep hearing about a “first look” at weddings. What is this and should I do it?

A: A first look is chance to take photos of you, and your soon to be husband, before the actual wedding ceremony. It can be a very special moment in your wedding day, because it is just you and your fiancé (and me). You can pick a special place to meet away from the crowd and see how each other will look, which is often the best part to photograph. I did this for my own wedding and was so grateful for both the photos and the opportunity to ease some of those pre wedding butterflies. Your wedding is really about your and your fiancé and this is a chance to really embrace that it is about the two of you. All that said, a first look isn’t for everyone and whenever you want to see your soon to be husband is the right time.

Q: Do you travel?

A: Yes! Yes, Please! I love shooting in the Bay Area of CA (it’s where I grew up) and have a compreshensive package that includes all my travel fees. I have traveled all over the world and I would love to accompany you on your destination wedding – just so long as my expenses are covered.

Q: Where is the best place to take photos?

A: I know a number of great locations around town, near the ocean and in the woods, but I am always open to new locations. During our consultation we will discuss where you are getting married, where your reception will be and where we can go in between.

Q: How many photos will I get?

A: This is bit dependant on how long your wedding is and how many locations we go to. Generally though, you can expect around 60 shots per hour. I will often shoot a bit more then this, but in my initial editing I throw out duplicates, those super flattering eye’s closed mouth wide open shots, and the rest I edit and burn to disc for you.

Q: How long after my wedding til we get our photos?

A: After I leave your wedding the work for me is not even close to over. The first thing I usually do is sleep for about 9 hours. In the next week I usually try to blog my favorite photos from your wedding day and within 4-6 weeks all of your photos will be edited and ready to deliver.

Q: My friend had a photobooth at her wedding. Do you know where I can get one too?

A: You came to the right place! There are two styles of photobooths out there. One is a mobile unit, similar to the ones that can be found in malls, the other (more creative in my opinion) is a camera set up with a remote (and flash) that your guests can fire off. And I can help you make this happen. I have all the equipment, and even a few props. This is a very popular item at weddings these days and gives you a chance to let your guests let loose.
