This may be one of my favorite engagement sessions. But it also makes me the most homesick for leaving California and moving to Canada. I can’t wait to get back to California for these two’s Sonoma wedding next year.
I so enjoyed the afternoon I spent with these two. They trusted me to pick all their photo locations, walked themselves down the aisle and had their reception at my (and their) favorite restaurant in town, Zambri’s. Congrats Erin and Nick!

Liz and Chris are fellow alums from Cal and it was a delight have a chance to revisit my old stomping grounds, visit with some old (and very good) friends, and photograph their lovely Berkeley City Club Wedding. I also had the pleasure of teaming up with Alyssa, from Lowe House Events, which meant a lot less running around like a crazy person during the wedding. The ladies at Lowe House are amazing at what they do and having a day of wedding coordinator makes my day run a lot smoother. Congrats Liz and Chris, and of course, GO BEARS!
I had two weddings in a row at the Fairmont Empress this summer, and this one was the first. These two got married out at Hatley Castle and then headed to the library at the Empress for their lunch reception. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and Erica, from Rook and Rose, did a fantastic job getting the room ready for them. She also did an amazing job with the bouquets, as one guest pointed out, Bridget’s bouquet weighed as much as a baby! These two are readers and instead of having a guest book, they brought along some of their favorite vintage books and told their guests to sign the inside covers. Genius!
